Women of Peace Project

Under the sponsorship of the National Committee for Women, the Enjaz Foundation for Development and the Social Democratic Forum launched the Women of Peace Project, which aims to develop awareness among independent women active in political parties of Resolution 1325 on women, security and peace. The project activities began by holding a training course for 25 participants in the hall of the National Committee for Women.

The project objectives focused on the following:

1. Training 25 young women who are socially and politically active in Resolution 1325 and the importance of women’s representation in peacebuilding processes.
2. Mobilizing public opinion to expand the extent of women’s participation in peacemaking while spreading the values of tolerance and coexistence among society.
